Nicholas Kamatu

Executive Director, Kenya

Nicholas joined HEART in February 2016. He is responsible for the development of a team of functional leaders in grants management, programs, and finance that ensures optimal delivery of services to all HEART stakeholders. He also ensures proper management of strategic, financial, compliance/legal and operational risks. Nicholas has over 18 years experience in donor and corporate financial management and reporting, external and internal auditing, risk management and institutional capacity building. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Master of Business Administration - Strategic Management (MBA), Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and Certified Public Secretary (CPS) and he is a Certified Monitoring & Evaluation Expert. He is a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya (ICSK), Kenya Institute of Management (MKIM) Institute of Human Resources Management of Kenya (IHRM).
